Accessibility
Statement
Last updated: July 2026
HONG LUC Garden Studio believes a garden should be a welcoming place for everyone — and so should the website that introduces it. We are committed to making this website usable and understandable for as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technologies.
1. Our commitment
We aim to meet widely recognized accessibility principles, drawing on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) at the AA level as our practical benchmark. Accessibility is treated as part of good design rather than an afterthought, and we work to improve it continually as the website evolves.
2. What we have done
In building this website we have taken a number of steps to support access for different needs. We use clear, readable typography and maintain a considered contrast between text and background in both the day and night versions of the site. Interactive elements can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and a visible focus indicator shows where you are on the page. Navigation is consistent from section to section, and the interface avoids relying on colour alone to convey meaning.
We provide descriptive labels for controls such as the menu and the theme switcher, and meaningful text alternatives for informative imagery. Motion and animation are used purposefully, and where your device or browser indicates a preference for reduced motion, we respect that preference and minimize non-essential movement.
3. Choosing a comfortable view
The website offers a day and a night version of the garden, which you can switch between using the lotus control. This lets you choose the level of brightness and contrast that is most comfortable for you, and your choice is remembered for your next visit. You can also use your browser's own tools to increase text size, zoom the page, or apply a reading mode, and the layout is designed to adapt to these adjustments.
4. Known limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a fixed destination. Some elements of a design-led website — such as illustrative animations, decorative imagery and interactive layouts — can present challenges for certain assistive technologies. Where such elements exist, we work to provide an equivalent, understandable experience, and we prioritise fixing any barrier that prevents someone from finding information or contacting us. If you encounter a limitation not covered here, we would be grateful to hear about it.
5. Third-party content
Some parts of the website may rely on third-party services, such as embedded fonts or externally delivered media. While we choose providers with care, we do not fully control the accessibility of third-party content. Where a third-party element creates a barrier, please tell us and we will look for an alternative or an accessible equivalent.
6. Getting help and giving feedback
If any part of this website is difficult to use, or if you need information from it in a different format, please contact the studio and we will do our best to help. When you get in touch, it helps us to know the page you were on, the device and browser you were using, and a short description of the difficulty. We treat accessibility feedback as a priority and aim to respond within a reasonable time.
7. Ongoing improvement
We review the accessibility of the website as we add or change content and features, and we update this statement to reflect meaningful changes. The date of the most recent update is shown above. Your feedback directly shapes where we focus that work.
